Detroit Police Chief says Armed Citizens the Answer to Crime

Detroit Police Chief James Craig started to say legally armed citizens were needed to help solve the crime problem in Detroit back in 2013.  Seems a lot of Detroit residents answered the call and are now carrying.  Here's a story with an update on the situation.  Good example of what we already know to be true.

I venture to guess that atleast 80 percent of NJ Police Chiefs would have no problem if state law allowed concealed carry by law abiding citizens.

I believe the chief of my former town would not have a problem with it.  We always had a quick response.

None taken. If they think it will keep them in office, they'd slap their mothers in the face on live television.

 

If they think moving ahead with concealed carry changes, they'll move it forward.

 

I don't have any expectation that A case will go before scotus any time soon that will cause NJ to change anything its doing. In fact, NJ defies the federal gov't now and has been for more than a decade on sanctuary cities. Regardless of what scotus does, NJ will simply ignore it.

 

The politicians here only respond to what benefits them.

 

Am I optimistic that they will... for any reason... change these laws? No. It's possible, but unlikely.

 

Issue is, if it's possible, we should fight for it.

 

For a blue state like Michigan to be more gun friendly than NJ means there is a way to do. Apparently, we're just not doing it right.
