New training company in NJ!

Recommended Posts

Never heard of them ...but read through their "about us" and it's Refreshing to see a "tactical" training group that's got a legitimate background and not a guy/guys with a nra basic pistol instructors cert and a Travis Haley dvd box set selling themselves as tier 1operators

Sounds impressive. But site lacks enough to put people in their trust.

There wheres, whens, etc..... Would be a great help before someone slaps $1500 bux down on a course.

I work with one of them...they know their sh*t.

http://servogrouptactical.net/

I have no vested interest in the company, though I have trained with these guys and they are top notch instructors.

They actually want to teach you not just take you to the range.

looking forward to the when and where. I'd really be interested in the precision rifle course

That would be good considering at least two of them are snipers for the state

Hey guys, my name is Ryan and I am the CEO of Servo Group. I really appreciate the interest in our company, and more importantly the willingness to train. Even at the top levels of weapons handling you must always remain a student in your craft. We are currently working on operating agreements with multiple ranges throughout the state. We will be running either a handgun or carbine level 1 and 2 very shortly. The site will be updated to reflect this as well as posting on here. Any questions you may have please dont hesitate to email me at my company email [email protected].

John, I am always one open to constructive criticism, thats how an organization best thrives in my opinion. We at Servo Group do not do the typical "heres my resume im better than you so listen". We all have a passion for teaching and it will show shoukd you choose to attend a course. What do you mean when you say our site is lacking enough to put people in our trust? Our instructor bio's are pretty thorough but by no means do they list ALL of our history... Frankly it would be too long, and some of our background is simply not something you would post openly for the world to see. Also the 1500 is a combo deal for 2 separated courses equaling 8 days of intense training. Our Designated Marksman course is the same course we teach to law enforcement snipers, possibly with more operational material due to the LoNg Range Precision Rifle prerequisite. A backround check is also required for non military or law enforcement applicants due to the material covered. But again please elaborate so me or my team can rectify any discrepancies if any. Be safe

I checked your site out. My main question is. Are these classes going to be held locally. As in a 2-3 hour drive from central jersey. Im interested in distance shooting. That seems to be what im most proficient at. Its been years since boot. And i want to get more knowledgeable with long distance once again. S jersey shooting range distance has a 300 yd. quinton i believe is 600.

Yes we will be utilizing ranges close to central jersey. Are you with 3/14? If you are looking for distance shooting then our 3 day Precision Rifle course is right up your alley. It is strictly shooting and ALOT of it. We recommend a bolt gun or a precision built AR platform. You can Email me if you'd like to know more.

By no means did/do I want you to take it as a boot to the butt. Your bios are impressive. It's just that over the years I've seen many facets of people and/or groups appear in all types of business. Just to find them to be, 'just another one those'.

I do understand that price is a combo.

Get some actual dates in there. Enroll now with no dates don't help folks.
I guess maybe add even more 'eye candy' for now. :)

People need to also see a good FAQ section.

I haven't had my coffee yet, so let me ponder a bit more. ;)

In the mean time, I wish you guys all the luck. It will be definitely nice to see something like this in NJ. In most cases, you have to travel west or south to find similar.

I'm liking the prices so far. Keep the single day classes 8 hours long with minimal classroom time unless it's needed. Also, come up with a newsletter or something for interested students to get updates from you for when you post dates/locations, etc.

Also remember, NJ is a big state so I would try to find ranges in the north and south parts. A range in eastern PA wouldn't be a bad idea either.

I really hope this takes off. From looking at your facebook page, sounds like you guys were looking to start dates and locations back in June.

Yes we as a group like to spend as much time on the range as possible, that's the only way you truly learn... By sending rounds down range. Now with the long range stuff and definitely the Designated Marksman/Observer Course there is a good bit of classroom worked in due to some of the material that needs to be covered; such as ballistics, anatomy, etc. Spreading out training locations is exactly what we will be doing, which is what has led to the lag in operations. As we all know logistics is the biggest hurdle. But don't worry the wait is worth it, you will see once we go live. We have some reviews up on our "About Us" section at the bottom by Law Enforcement officers who have attended our training. We pride ourselves as Marines on attention to detail, leaving no loose ends and making sure every single aspect is meticulously perfected. This mindset has served us well to this point both at home and abroad. Rest assured you will be given a polished "product" so to speak. Stay safe and stay tuned.

interested.  get some dates/locations up.

Dates and locations will be up as soon as we hash out some details on our end. Most of our cadre is still active either in law enforcement, military, or PSD. However as CEO I am on top of everything, and trust me we are just as excited to start instructing as you are to get some good real world training in. Stay safe out there

Already talked to them about it :)

Vendor/Sponsorship needs to go through Maksim - unfortunately he's been hard to get ahold of lately but we'll do what we can to facilitate.

Good to know,  I have been limited this year to one Vickers and one Rockwell Tac class.  The more classes available locally [by worthwhile instructors]  the better.  The Long Range class looks super interesting but three days is a big commitment.

Personally, for long range, I feel Black Hat Training Corp cannot be beat. In addition to an outstanding course, by instructors that know how to shoot well and teach it, you get to train on a range that goes out to 1050 yards. Maybe Freddy Wissing will chime in.

I dont know of anywhere to shoot to 1000 yds in Jersey.
