Where did all the cheap 54R ammo go?

Just as I get a PSL, all of a sudden you can't find any 7.62x54R spam can ammo anywhere for a decent price.

 

What did I miss?  Sanctions on Russia?  This sucks!

Those conflicts made it impossible to import the ammo from the Ukraine, where most of our cheap 7.62x54R was coming from.

I sold mine a few years ago........kicking myself daily. Remember this is a marksman rifle and the barrell will get hot fast. So you wont shoot hundreds in one session.

 

Why dont you just buy brass and reload.

Give it a little time and it'll come back. I heard the last gun show there were some crates, you're paying for it but they had them. I'd buy some a couple hundred rounds of steel case for some range sessions for now and get a couple crates when it's back in stock.
