TonyS. 12 Posted October 8, 2015 So now that I've finally got a red dot on my S&W 625 I'm wondering how to safely transport it to the range. I do have an old Pelican case that it will fit but that's big and bulky. Not to mention it'll take up a lot of room in the range bag. So how do you guys transport your guns with optics? Thanks. T Bill 649 Posted October 8, 2015 Gun box. Old timers Bullseye favorite.
xkon 0 Posted October 8, 2015 I think you're overthinking it, any case should do. Its on a firearm, it is going to get banged around. Unless its some $30 red dot, you shouldn't have to worry
TonyS. 12 Posted October 13, 2015 It's a Burris Fastfire 3, which ain't top-end but ain't cheap either. I found this G.P.S. Handgunner Backpack with basically the old Bullseye-box way of holding the pistols, but at the bottom of the bag. Lots of good reviews so I figure I'd give it a shot. tattooo 220 Posted October 13, 2015 I just put mine in my range bag
checko 180 Posted October 13, 2015 I don't think you need anything fancy. An old plano box should do fine. Just dont throw it down the stairs.
SW9racer 262 Posted October 13, 2015 For my slide mounted RMR, I just toss it wherever, but that one is indestructible. I also have a Burris Fastfire on a Ruger MK2, which I keep in a Plano hard plastic case.
