This is good. Remember CMP will grade and price these accordingly. They will be less expensive than what you would pay on the open market as their rifles are. However, don't look for a super bargain.

Will still need a pistol permit...  But still - good price.  May be time to pick up a 1911

Unless you really want an old war horse I doubt the guns will shooters, my guess is these are going to be mostly mantle pieces. If my understanding is correct the 1911's were really ratty when they went in storage, which is also why I think the Marines went ahead and bought new ones, the old ones are probably no longer worth refitting.

I think it will be a negligible decrease. Look at garands, you can get a m1 through the CMP but yet they are 1400 at gushows.

I don't think it will effect prices in the marketplace as CMP rifle sales don't really effect other sales.

 

Mamy people don't and don't want to try to qualify to purchase from CMP.

 

I'd like to see these 45s sold to veterans first.
