fishnut 2,358 Posted December 7, 2015 I am surprised that no one has mentioned it here but today is pearl harbor day. Please take a moment to honor those that gave all they could for their country today! Its somewhat important to me and my family. My grandfather Felix V Balodis was on the USS Helena and suffered sever burns to 80%of his body but made it out alive but was never the same.

bhunted 887 Posted December 7, 2015 I honor it every year and wear this to show I care. I've been there and it's extremely humbling. I also have flags that flew over the Arizona... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Sleeper 8 Posted December 8, 2015 My dad was there. Aboard the destroyer USS Selfridge. They were not hit and steamed out of the harbor. My dad lived to a ripe old age of 94.

fumanchu182 23 Posted December 8, 2015 That's a man who has weathered many storms in his life and has lived to tell the tales. I wish I could one day make it to that age.
