Serious 0 Posted December 21, 2015 While browsing for AR 15 parts I came across a "bump fire" stock. Are they legal in NJ? Can't imagine they would be but they look like a ton of fun!
JohnnyB 4,289 Posted December 21, 2015 NO! The stock is considered movable and not pinned! If you pinned it, it would not be a bump fire stock!!!
Serious 0 Posted December 21, 2015 Ah figures. Well the amount of $ spent on the ammo wasted could go into good parts!
JohnnyB 4,289 Posted December 21, 2015 Ah figures. Well the amount of $ spent on the ammo wasted could go into good parts! Besides, no range in Jersey allows rapid fire!!! So where could you shoot it anyway???
tattooo 220 Posted December 21, 2015 There is a bump fire grip that is legal.....can find it online, if not I can ask the RO at my range who has one where he got his next week. Also He shoots it at SJSC

Also He shoots it at SJSC The GRIP is a new product! Legal in the PRNJ so far as I know! I still see myself letting loose with that on my AR and all the ROs come running to bust my A$$!!! I thought Jersey had something in the statutes about any modification that could enhance the rate of fire as being illegal! I could be wrong but someone who knows better will eventually chime in!!!! I could very well be mistaken about this due to my perpetual state of paranoia caused by my residency here!!!!!!

ChrisJM981 924 Posted December 21, 2015 I thought the consensus was they're legal since it's not adjustable?
Displaced Texan 11,653 Posted December 21, 2015 I saw a gentleman and his daughters shooting a Bumpfire equipped AR at SJSC earlier this year. The RO came running when he heard the burst of fire, but was cool with it, once he saw what it was. I don't know about legality in NJ, but it seemed like an expensive way to blow through a bunch of ammo. To each their own, though.

carl_g 568 Posted December 21, 2015 The set up with an M&P 15-22 looks like a lot of fun.. but yeah trying to find a place that you could use it might be a challenge.
