Tom C 0 Posted January 19, 2016 Well, I guess it's official. My Mustang goes into hibernation until the Spring. I was hoping we'd dodge snow and salt a little while longer.

Malsua 1,422 Posted January 19, 2016 Just looked at the 12z guidance and NJ still gets pounded as the low stalls off the Jersey coast and churns for 8 hours. DC gets crushed with this run...24"+. It's like watching a horse race every 6 hours...who's the winner and loser this run!
fatty 241 Posted January 19, 2016 Time to bust out my landlords electric snow blower

Malsua 1,422 Posted January 19, 2016 you better hope we get a dusting I've got a bigger truck (Ram 2500) and a light duty plow and I've not found anything yet that I can't push(I even move leaves with it in the fall!). Everyone shits on it until they see it work. I have probably 1000lb of firewood in the bed. The only doubts I see on his rig are tires and weight...you have to have snow tires or at least a good set of M+S with some weight.
Malsua 1,422 Posted January 20, 2016 It's still Game-on. This storm is still mirroring 1996 very closely. While the snow totals still aren't very accurate, it shows that everyone is getting something. South Jersey is definitely in the bigger snows, north Jersey might still mostly whiff. Tom C 0 Posted January 20, 2016 It has the makings of a French Toast storm. Everyone will be running out to the stores for bread, milk, and eggs.
1LtCAP 4,259 Posted January 20, 2016 it's not mirroring nothing. it's global warming dammit!! ya see? when the earth warms up, it causes it to cool and snow. yea. that's it.
Displaced Texan 11,653 Posted January 20, 2016 Snowblower: check. Generator: check. Supplies: check. Bring on the 'KABOOM'! I'm ready for some snow....
siderman 1,134 Posted January 20, 2016 oddly enough the weather channels on-line 5 day forcast has me in Brgn Cnty currently predicted for 1-3" and a %70 chance of that. The chart above is 16-18....
Krdshrk 3,872 Posted January 20, 2016 Yeah - different models are forecasting differently. Weather Underground revised the snowfalls for Linden from 12+ inches down to 5-8"... We'll see what happens.
Scorpio64 5,120 Posted January 20, 2016 Yeah, I'm looking at NOAA and NWS data and the predictions for my area now are 70% chance of 4 to 6 inches. Chance of 12" is at 3%. Why are we all of the sudden trusting weather forecasts. Did they become more accurate this past week or something. I'm still going to fill the gas tank and stock up on a few supplies though. Better safe than sorry.
Tom C 0 Posted January 20, 2016 I hope eastern Pennsyltucky gets it all. Maybe it'll keep some of their inbred drivers from traveling to NJ and hogging all the left lanes.
