bsdbb 0 Posted February 15, 2016 Hi guys, I'm getting into high power matches, and I was told that it's recommend to get a shooting mat. I see lots of choices out their on the Web but the review selection on them on YouTube is small. I'm looking for one that's at least padded, water resistant and can be used as a anchor point for my bipod. Color and pockets don't matter to me. As long as the mat is quality. Any suggestions would be great
louu 399 Posted February 15, 2016 All the cool kids buy everything from here http://www.creedmoorsports.com The MidwayUSA mat is very good also. Check out this forum, there is two sides, one for ATC and the other one I never checked out but I'm pretty sure it's for F class http://www.usrifleteams.com/forums/
njpilot 671 Posted February 15, 2016 http://www.midwayusa.com/product/276544/midwayusa-pro-series-competition-shooting-mat Really good mat. If you're not in a hurry, watch for sales. I got it for $30, I think, a few years ago.
bsdbb 0 Posted February 16, 2016 Yah that midwayusa mat looked like it was going to be a overall better buy. I'm still looking. You think when the next high power match comes around, I take a look at what other people have and make my decision off of that?
Blackjack988 8 Posted February 16, 2016 My recommendation would be to make sure whatever mat you buy has straps sewn in to allow you to load your bipod properly. The Midway mat is the one I use. It has the straps and is very comfortable.
