New les Baer

Just picked up my first les Baer UTC.. Thanks to Hackettstown Guns and ammo! The gun is beautiful.

 

 

Note- the serial number was photoshopped off

sweet 1911. I definitely want to add a Baer to my collection some day. One question, why photoshop the serial #? I see allot of people on here blocking out their serial #, just wondering why.

I don't think there is anything wrong with it either I was just wondering. I just remembered that the first semi auto handgun I ever shot was a Les Baer 1911. My teachers had good taste LOL.

Yeah I think many people block off the serial number because they see other people do it.

 

It's like license plates, I don't get it.  People block off their plates in photos, but why... I can just drive down the road and look at license plate numbers all day long.  I can go to a car show and look at license plates.  Likewise if I go to a gun shop I can see serial numbers, same with museums and gun shows.

 

People are weird about pictures.

Because thieves have friends that work at DMV that can run the plate number and get the address of where the vehicle is to steal it.

And antigun Dbags can report stolen firearms of a given serial number and the like. The Internet is forever and its inhabitants are murthering scum in some cases.
