George79 5 Posted February 29, 2016 Over the last few years I've been acquiring reloading equipment and figured now that I have quite a bit it was time to build a bench. Any suggestions as to making it a better bench?

Scorpio64 5,153 Posted February 29, 2016 Looks nice and solid. In addition to anchoring and lighting (2 LED light bars under the top shelf), there's two things I'd probably do. First is cantilever the bench top, I'd go nuts if my feet kept banging on the bottom shelf and it would give a little more real estate on the bench top. Second, build some lockable storage under one side. Assuming the bench is 8' long, On the right I'd build in a locking 18" cabinet and drawers to fill in the rest of the side.. Edit: I'd probably paint the top with a super hard epoxy.

Heavyopp 167 Posted February 29, 2016 Anchor it to the floor / wall Agreed -- No matter how sturdy it's still gonna shake --- along with everything on the pegboard looks good though -- great start

MidwestPX 172 Posted February 29, 2016 Costco has a set of six puck LED lights with adhesive backs. I ran one set on the under side of the bench top to illuminate the lower shelf. $20 and one remote can control every light in range.
