SW9racer 262 Posted March 27, 2016 Can i come and watch this match if i am not a member? I am a new shooter and would like to see how it all goes down You should enter the match, you are not forced to shoot every stage. This way you could watch a stage or two, and try a stage or two. I'm at the same point. Watched last CJ match. Trying to sort out what gear I need and make sure I actually have everything before April 10th. If you're considering entering, here's a link that may help with how to get started. https://www.uspsa.org/uspsa-about-getting-started.php
Krdshrk 3,877 Posted March 28, 2016 http://www.njgunforums.com/forum/index.php/topic/18511-new-to-uspsa/ The videos there are a good starter too
Jim Norman 5 Posted March 28, 2016 Depending upon where you live you could go to Old Bridge on the 4th Friday night. We run a USPSA Intro and safety check. You do need to register in advance and space is limited. You'll get the basics on the rules, equipment and safety.
Kevin125 4,772 Posted April 1, 2016 Question. I am waiting for my USPSA member #. Will have next week via email if they are on top of the sign up process. Do I need to wait until I get that member number to sign up? Concerned about screwing up my entry without it, or .. the match filling up before I get the number. thx
Vlad G 345 Posted April 1, 2016 you are not required to be a uspsa member

Kevin125 4,772 Posted April 11, 2016 I wanted to say thanks to everyone that helped me and my daughter out at the match on Sunday. Vlad .. I think I owe you instructor fees or something. A bunch of other people offered help all day long. Ed, Bob, Zack, Alec, Dave and some people who's names I don't remember or don't know unfortunately. But thanks to all of you guys. It made the first match a lot less stressful and really helped keep us doing things safely. Thnx
