Where to sell a gold ring

Recommended Posts

Guest

I just found my wedding ring and decided to sell it off since I've been divorced for 15 years now. Where can I get it appraised and sold in Atlantic county? I'm willing to travel as far as Toms River and south, if I need to go that far for an honest appraiser.

Thanks

But its better than nothing and will fill my tank a few times, so I will be selling it to someone. So who can I trust in the atlantic county area??

14 karat and about 6 grams

Assuming it has no stones and is exactly 6 grams, it's worth just shy of $150 at this moment. You can expect to receive $100 on the low end, and $120 on the high end unless you take it direct to the refinery which is not worth it with the little amount that you have. I don't know of any jewelry stores or cash for gold stores that will pay more than 80% of spot price, which would be $120.

How do you get 90 or 95% spot price of gold on something less than 60% gold?

1 ozt of 24 gold is $1332.10 at the moment.

14k gold is 58.3% pure

$1332.10 X .583=$776.6143

$776.6143 / 31.1=$24.97152 (There are 31.1 grams in a troy ounce)

$24.97152 X 6 grams=$149.82912

$149.82912 X 95%=$142.33766

$149.82912 X 90%=$134.8462
