Peltor ComTac 3 vs everything else v. Hearing Pro

Looking at new hearing protection for myself, gf, ppl I take to the range.  Already ordered the ComTac 3 for myself.  Wondering if there is anything similar in quality but not as expensive to get for ppl that don't shoot as often?  I had Howard Leight non electronic muffs I was using but after trying a guys ComTac I was sold.  Wondering what else is out there that is similar.

Spend the dough on the Peltor or the equivalent MSA/Sordins. There are no better alternatives. The value is worth the cost.

 

The ability for guests/learnees/new shooters to clearly hear you on the range is worth every penny.

Definitely dont cheap out too much, you need something thatll allow new shooters to hear you. Theres cheaper stuff out there thatll work. Both my muffs are electronic from home depot and work great. I believe the one the wifey uses is a howard, and i use a ryobi set..

Neither were any more than like 40 bucks and they both work great.. pretty sure i hear better with em on than off.
