So what is the deal with Mag rebuilt kits? Are they legal to purchase and block off myself???

Sure, as long as you purchase them and block them yourself outside of NJ.

I couldn't find anything specific to your question in NJ Llaw. However, there may be a case against you for constructive possession.

 

But the ambiguity of the law works both ways, YMMV,

 

I've had them shipped to my house before, but that's my decision, and I converted them to 15/30s straight away.

heritage guild in branchburg used to sell lancer mags not sure if they still do
