nondisclosure 55 Posted January 8, 2018 How do you guys like the new mark4 so far? I saw that Ruger introduced a tactical version which has a 4.4" barrel. Has anyone shot that version, and can offer an opinion versus the 5" bull barrel?
T Bill 649 Posted January 8, 2018 Any model Ruger Mark I through Mark IV is worth it. Bull barrel even better. Cannot go wrong with it. Add enhancements from Volquartzen, Tandemkross and others make it a tack driver. Mark IV takedown system just enhances that. Long barrel means better sight radius when using irons, otherwise not a big deal. As far as the 22/45 tactical, not worth it. You do not need a threaded barrel, bull is better, and all those rails are just useless weight/decorations. Bull barrel with a good set of iron adjustable sights is all the bling you need. The receiver is drilled and tapped if you want to add a rail later on for optic. The 22/45 has a 1911 style grip angle versus the standard model. I would never get rid of my Mark II Government Model.
