Should I look for a 590A1 with or without the sights?

Is it better to look for a ghost ring/sight set up right from the factory or is it preferable to add the sights afterwards?

 

From a cost perspective, it looks like a 590A1 without the sights will be $460 delivered vs a 590A1 with the ghost ring sights for $517 delivered.

I think putting the front sight on a mossberg requires welding it on, which may mean a trip to a gunsmith. The rear bolts right on. I would say go for factory sights.

I like ghost ring sights on a HD shotgun.  Competition shotgun is better with open sights.

I have a 590A1 on the marketplace with some extras for $520. You will save on tax and nics and get a Magpul stock and Ergo grip. I could be conviced to let it go for 500...

For throwing slugs 50yds, ghost rings are nice but I'm all about that nice simple bead up there whether it's home defense or clays.

The best thing I did with my 590A1 was put an Aimpoint Micro on it and pull the ghost ring off
