DeerSlayer 241 Posted October 29, 2016 Make sure to bring something other then target loads so we can shoot the pumpkins this signature exceeds the 15 character capacity count I think you're only allowed to use target loads on the clay range. Maybe some heavy dove, or nitro mags but has to be bird shot.

RecessedFilter 222 Posted October 30, 2016 The only shell loads allowed at all NJ WMA sporting clay ranges are birdshot (I believe #7, #7.5, #8). Please do not bring buckshot or slugs.
BlueLineFish 615 Posted October 30, 2016 My pickup can hold everything. Last time I was there I brought a ton of stuff. Drez can verify that

Sota 1,191 Posted October 30, 2016 I missed last year's when the kid decided to upchuck his breakfast at the range. here's hoping NOT to repeat that again (as he's coming as well.) Drez: would cut shells violate the WMA rules?

I'm unsure what you mean by "cut shells"?
Krdshrk 3,877 Posted October 30, 2016 Basically cutting the plastic around the hull of the shell so that it all goes out in 1 clump (virtual slug) instead of in a shot pattern... Honestly - not sure why you'd want to potentially cause malfunctions in your gun or have a single shot when shooting at the pumpkins...

Krdshrk 3,877 Posted October 31, 2016 you're thinking like a semi-auto shooter. I have a pump I still wouldn't except in controlled situations or in a single shot.
