I cant help myself lol... going to make a short 2' ext cord with the gen side plug re-wired with the ground/neutral tied off together so I can use the gen in stand alone mode and bonded while its still tied to my service panel. And had another Eienstien moment, going to keep the 30 amp pwr cord and ng hose in the basement where its warm. Get too stiff out in the cold garage.

That’s some good American ingenuity, you preserve your nice factory molded cable and get the benefit of the mod.
