njbouncer 0 Posted December 31, 2016 Hi, I just ordered a Keltec Sub 2000 9mm. Problem is, I didn't realize it takes a glock 17 clip with 17 rounds. Is there any other clip that I can use with this? Advise needed! Thanks in advance. Phil
hiker88 22 Posted December 31, 2016 There are Glock 17 mags limited to 10 rounds. Recently, they also came out with 15 round factory magazines.
RecessedFilter 222 Posted December 31, 2016 Not sure what FFL you will have it shipped to but either your FFL can pin the mags to 15rds or they will keep the mags to destroy. Then you'll have to buy 10rd Glock 17 mags. I've heard of 15rders but never seen them. I'm sure some gun shops sell them or you can easily order them online. njbouncer 0 Posted December 31, 2016 Does anyone know if the Keltec Sub 2000 is NJ legal?..I just won it in an auction and now reading articles that say it's not. Some say it is. Can someone please help clarify. Thank you in advance.
SmittyMHS 603 Posted December 31, 2016 Its cool you won it but its not legal here in the Peoples Republic unless its pinned open since its a folding rifle. Any good FFL should be able to do both the mag and the stock.
SW9racer 262 Posted December 31, 2016 I would take this as a sign from above that you should move out of NJ. It's an omen!
carl_g 568 Posted December 31, 2016 its legal as long as it only has 15 rd mags and no threaded barrel. Folding in half is not an issue.
JT Custom Guns 956 Posted December 31, 2016 The Sub 2000 is legal in NJ. The Muzzle nut needs to be pinned & the mag needs to be either 15rds or less, or converted before p/u at dealer. Your transferring dealer should be able to convert the 17rd mag to a NJ compliant 15rd. and pin the barrel If not - call me and I'll do the transfer & mod the mag and pin the barrel for you Happy new year! Purple Patrick 638 Posted December 31, 2016 Its cool you won it but its not legal here in the Peoples Republic unless its pinned open since its a folding rifle. Any good FFL should be able to do both the mag and the stock. It doesn't fire when folded so it's legal this signature exceeds the 15 character capacity count
