@diamondd817, you can't play both sides.  What's your home defense firearm?

I'm a switch hitter.

But seriously, I have a loaded Glock 17 G4 ready to go. The Wife, a Glock 19 G4. Also, Remy 870 7-shot synthetic.

I'm a fan of Glock's, Beretta's, and Smith wheel guns.

We are only connected with Beretta's, our paths go in different directions from there.

OK, somebody make this post a sticky.   It will save everyone the time and effort of posting photos of their Glocks.

Open this image:

Glock 17

That's a photo of a Glock 17, a standard size Glock.  The other standard size Glocks (G20, G21, G22, etc) look exactly like that.

Now move closer to your screen.   See how the gun looks bigger?  That's a competition model (G34, G35, G41).  They all look the same.

Move a little closer to the screen.  You are now looking at a long slide (G17L, G24, G40)  There is no need to look at photos of the individual models; they're the same damn thing.

Now, from your normal viewing position, move a little further from the screen.   See how the image got smaller?  You are now looking at a compact model (G19, G23...).

Finally, move back just a little more.  You're now looking at the subcompact models (G26, G27, G29, G30...)

That's it.  The entire Glock pistol model matrix, in one photo.

Mods--you may now close this thread.

Run it stock till you can outshoot it. Then stipple/barrel/trigger/whatevs.

Spend more money on ammo, not add-ons.

Develop the software before changing the hardware.

Is there a friend of HE discount at MM?

It's funny, when I picked her up, I felt like I was better than all the other gun owners who don't own Glocks.   Like, I became cool and smarter and in-the-know.

Like James Brown said to John Belushi in Blues Brothers.

Do you see the light?!?!?

Yes!  I see the light!!!!

Found some paperwork, customer letter and price list, from Glock back in 1993 when I requested information about their handguns. Unfortunately, I do not have the catalog still. My first handgun which I still have to this day is a 2nd Gen Glock 19.

Regards,

Couldn't agree more.  Shooting is what improves your skills.  Not gadgets.

As far as all this customization stuff. (and HE I think you'll agree)

You better be able to shoot with competency anything you pick up off the ground and wipe the blood off of.
