Bridgewater Man Arrested on Weapons Charges

Recommended Posts

How do you know the weapon in question isn't 100% compliant to begin with? Maybe had blocked mags as well.. let's say the cops were pissed he was being a jerk off and wasting their time, so they said f it let the courts decide if it's a assault weapon or not..

We don't know it's compliant. We do know he was charged with poss of AW, magazines over 15 rds, and poss of hollowpoints in addition to the assault charges. We can guess all we want but there is nothing, absolutely nothing, to support our guesses.

I can't understand why people think the police would charge him with AW violations if it wasn't one. Police and prosecutors don't build their careers by charging someone with a crime when there is no probable cause for that crime. Judges don't like having defendants brought before them on bogus charges.

If the weapon was used in the assault it doesn't make a difference it the gun was a pistol or carbine, compliant or non-compliant, a battle rifle or a black powder derringer.

Do the police make mistakes? Sure everyone does. In this case if they made a mistake about the AW and the magazines it doesn't make a difference as to what this guy did. He allegedly assaulted people with a firearm.

Maybe we should be talking about the fact the police got everyone out of the house safely and apprehended the guy with no one getting hurt.
