Blacksmythe 71 Posted February 2, 2017 Do you use them? Do you like them? What brand would you recommend? My break can be obnoxious, it's a Lantac Dragon. I like the break a lot. I'm just trying to be considerate to my range neighbors.
High Exposure 5,661 Posted February 2, 2017 I use a Surefire Warden. It works as advertised.

T Bill 649 Posted February 2, 2017 Troy, KAW, Griffin, Hera, Black River Tactical, also make linear comps/ Using a Troy Claymore on a 3 gun/highpower and liking it.
Blacksmythe 71 Posted February 2, 2017 Only one I heard of was the surefire and the lantac BMD. I'll look into the others. Anybody catch shit for having one? Will I have to pin it?
High Exposure 5,661 Posted February 2, 2017 Only if it screws on. The SF one uses a friction cam. No threads, you don't have to pin it.
T Bill 649 Posted February 2, 2017 Yes, this is NJ, so Yes it has to be pinned. Nobody complained yet. If you ever been on a High Power match firing line, you know what percussion really is. Especially a Garand Match.

Blacksmythe 71 Posted February 2, 2017 Is that the one you put on and turn slightly to lock in place?thats the way the Lantac BMD is. No threads though.
remixer 1,645 Posted February 2, 2017 We have installed a few of those... Very nice brakes... i was going to use one myself.
remixer 1,645 Posted February 2, 2017 Plus not that it matters. But when installed on a gun with a full rail.. it looks badass!
YankeeSC 1,204 Posted February 2, 2017 I thought this was a thread about stopping immigration. That's OK I thought the "over/under" thread was about the super bowl.
High Exposure 5,661 Posted February 3, 2017 Is that the one you put on and turn slightly to lock in place? Yeah. It has a collar that you twist at the base after indexing a notch at the base of the muzzle device (SF 556MB in my case) with the Warden. It's the exact same attachment as the SF Suppressors. Takes about 1/2 turn to lock it down.
BigHaggis13 3 Posted February 7, 2017 I bought a warden myself after previous conversations with Exposure. I've yet to use it, it's been a while since I've had the AR out to the range. But BCM had them in stock, and they had no problem shipping it to NJ. I have an older surefire MB556K brake that doesn't have the indexing notch, but it still locks down ridiculously tight on there, so I have no doubt it will function just fine. Personally I feel like they may sort of fall into a grey area with the laws here, but I kinda take it at face value. It's not a flash hider, it's not a suppressor, it's completely proprietary to one particular brand, and there are no threads involved in it's use. The entire point of it is essentially just a courtesy to the people around you, so I can't really see it being an issue. But we all know how this state is. Indianajonze 379 Posted February 8, 2017 is the lantac dragon blast that bad? i've read it's average, about on par with most of the other brakes out there. anyone know how it compares to a yankee hill phantom as far as blast?
Blacksmythe 71 Posted March 8, 2017 LOL is the lantac dragon blast that bad? i've read it's average, about on par with most of the other brakes out there. anyone know how it compares to a yankee hill phantom as far as blast? Its pretty forceful on my rifle. Its the best Brake I own actually. I have no experience on a phantom.
