svt3183 14 Posted March 25, 2017 This looks like possibly the carbine i have been hoping for - not ugly as a Clinton female, 9mm, glock mags, and $600 price point. I don't know shit about this company though. I know they used UTG stock and rail, but need to keep cost down somehow I guess. 100% US made is bonus. Anyone know about this company? https://www.classicfirearms.com/fx9-semi-auto-9mm-rifle-glock-mag-compatible
High Exposure 5,634 Posted March 25, 2017 That actually looks like a good deal. Features are good. Has a LRBHO. Controls look good. I built mine with QC10 parts (in .40) and am very happy but am extremely interested to hear how this runs if you get one.
carl_g 568 Posted March 25, 2017 Why do all 9mm AR's magazines just look wrong to me? Why do they all slant towards the hand grip rather than protrude straight down or away like a MPX or a CZ scorpion?
Ray Ray 3,566 Posted March 25, 2017 Why do all 9mm AR's magazines just look wrong to me? Why do they all slant towards the hand grip rather than protrude straight down or away like a MPX or a CZ scorpion? Because the ones that take Glock magazines have to match the grip angle of the Glock magwell. The MPX and CZ take proprietary magazines.
High Exposure 5,634 Posted March 25, 2017 They have to keep the grip angle of the pistol they were designed for or they won't function. If you used Uzi mags, they would be straight. Unfortunately Glock mags followers are angled for proper feeding of the round at Glock's grip angle - ergo, the magwell has to mimic that for reliable feeding.

Old Glock guy 1,125 Posted March 25, 2017 Very interesting that you should post that, as I've been looking longingly at this the last couple of days: https://www.targetsportsusa.com/kel-tec-sub-2000-9mm-semi-automatic-rifle-glock17-17-round-in-black-kt2k9glk17ds-p-58691.aspx Pretty sure I'm going to end up getting it. PK90 3,569 Posted March 25, 2017 Contact Chris at Federal Firearm in Delaware. I'm sure he has a few for sale. No NICS Fee or Sales Tax when picked up there. Sent from an undisclosed location
High Exposure 5,634 Posted March 26, 2017 Paul, are you referencing the Kel-Tec or the 9mm AR?

AlexTheSane 236 Posted March 26, 2017 If you're looking for an AR-type 9mm, there's always JRC. Also uses Glock mags for about the same price. https://www.lanbosarmory.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=33683&referrer=cnwr_4191340829622
High Exposure 5,634 Posted March 26, 2017 I don't consider the JRC to be an "AR" type rifle. It has a completely different manual of arms. My Glock mag carbine is run identically to my ARs.

svt3183 14 Posted May 12, 2017 Haha where's that? Maybe I can buy those guns with money from my car and we'll neutralize everything
SJG 253 Posted May 12, 2017 Classic Arms has a 9mm Carbine that takes Glock Mags. Price is $599 was considering one but decided to go with used Scar instead that I just bought from an Estate at a good price. I am not aware of any milspec 9mm carbines so you need to be careful

They are built to a "mil-spec"and use proprietary magazines based on Uzi mags. I have found them to be unreliable with anything other than .mil 9mm ball ammo. Maksim 1,504 Posted May 17, 2017 Interesting.... but why not just build your own 9mm Upper?
