BHTC 2 Day DMR/RECCE Course Jun 16-17, Lewistown PA

Recommended Posts

Hi,

Hello from Black Hat Training Corps, BHTC (http://bhtcorps.com).

We have opened up our RECCE/DMR course for registration. This is an and/or course. You can bring rifles set up for either task and shoot them both if you wish.

30 second elevator description:

--
This is a high round count, long distance rifle course that focuses on practical employment of the AR platform rifle with magnified optics either 10+(DMR), or the 1-4 or 1-6 range (RECCE) out to the furthest possible distance. Both you and your platform will be pushed to their limits. We recommend 200-250 rounds for each class of rifle you bring. Bring more == shoot more.
--

If you don't know about us, feel free to ask openly here, on snipershide.com, pafoa.org or the njgunforums.

Model 1891 Argentine Mauser 7.65 x 53 with bayonet. Not an exact match but fits pretty good. This fine weapon is an engineering marvel well over 100 years old. Ramp sight to 900 yards for harassing fire to prevent free movement in the enemy's camp. Steel is in pretty good condition. All threads have been lubricated and work fine. Crack in upper handguard & the stock was secured with 2 screws. I have shot this many times and he is a beast. If your'e looking for a shooter, Boyd's has replacement stocks and you can take your spot on the line with fine German craftsmanship.
Barrel has all the right stamps and marks according to several articles.
I had this gun for 35 years and time for a new home. I used to display it in my office with the bayonet but it looked way too scary.
22 boxes (440 rounds) of new ammo included. They go for $40 per box now!
Rifle, bayonet (with metal sheath) & ammo $450 or trade for 12g target ammo/silver. I can bring it to Central Jersey Rifle Pistol Club for inspection.
First reply I'll take it gets the prize

All the heavy lifting to start reloading is done. This press/die set has only been used to deprime a few cartridges(I have no patience). Aside from dust it’s brand new.
****DISCLAIMER**** Not my fault if you do something stupid and get hurt. Do your research.

I have been asked to run a class to prepare people for carrying a defensive firearm by my home range, Phillipsburg Pistol club.
It will be held on August 6th, from noon until approx. 4pm.
We will cover safe use of a holster and a number of defensive shooting techniques.
The class will finish with running each student through HQC1 and a certificate will be provided for those that achieve a passing score.
It is open to all, but members of Phillipsburg Pistol Club will have spots reserved for them.

What training is acceptable?  Instructions from Monroe Twp, NJ merely say "Written qualification must be within six (6) months of application and include Instructors Name"... I think this is really a bogus requirement.  I think NJ can reject applicants by saying the training is insufficient.  The qualifyin schools, such as www.shootingclasses.com ... seem to have a variety of courses.  In summary, how do we know exactly what school and cert would qualify for a CCW permit?  Thanks
