High Exposure 5,635 Posted May 25, 2017 I am shocked Peel. Shocked and saddened. Taylor Ham It is referred to as Pork Roll and it is glorious. Taylor's Pork Roll is acceptable, but it most certainly isn't Ham. A sub is any sandwich on a long roll. It is just "sub", not submarine. It is not called a hoagie, or *shudder* a grinder, by anyone that matters. A faucet is inside your home, a spigot is outside. It is soda, not pop. Fight with all of your strength against his attempt to drag you down to his level. The truth is: Only a lowly, dimwitted, knuckle-dragging Neanderthal eats pork roll. So, stand tall as you approach the counter, throw your shoulders back, hold your head high... and boldly say, "I'll have a Taylor Ham, Egg and Cheese breakfast sandwich, please." Accept no substitutes! I was under the impression that they were two different things, but they are the same thing with two different names. I'm not one for commercialism or shameless advertising so I'd have to go with Pork Roll.

Did I mention that those pork roll lovin' Neaderthals were also glassy-eyed, slack-jawed and dimwitted? It gives me no pleasure to lay out the harsh facts, but... the rest of your post just draws more attention to your ancestral roots. Submarine, hoagie and outdoor faucet... all quite acceptable. I pity you... and any progeny that might carry those inferior Neanderthal genes.

Life is nothing more than a series of decision points. The choices you make at each juncture move you on the path to: joy and success... or turmoil and failure. You're already heading down the wrong path, son. Think again... there's still time to save yourself!

The brew guy 22 Posted June 3, 2017 Lots of companies make pork roll, Taylor makes the good stuff. Order pork roll egg and cheese and you might end up eating the cheap stuff (I know of places that have both). Then again, what do I know. I usually order "BEC, SPK, on an everything bagel." I have heard people order a TEC, SPK, or a Taylor egg and cheese, so one need not include the word ham, but there are those who do insist on using the original name. Either way, I haven't heard many order pork roll over the years in this part of the state. Grinders seem to be toasted subs but they are only found in Connecticut. Hoagies are consumed with pop, subs with soda?
