A bobcat somehow got into a home in Long Valley, NJ. I'd post the text from the article, but it won't let me copy and past. I've read they can be extremely ferocious. Would that qualify for a carry permit?

Big difference between bobcats and mountain lions. Bobcats are  13-30 lbs up to around 21 inches high, have a short tail, and pointed ears.  Can look like a very large house cat, including colorings.  I have one in the neighborhood, been taking out all the woodchucks and rabbits.  Will not touch the raccoon or skunks.  Been chasing new born fawns as well.

For those better in the know... what's the difference between a Bob Cat and a Mountain Lion?  And weren't there mountain lines in NJ that were blamed to be Bob Cats?

That looks like a stray cat that chills in my backyard only slightly bigger.

Couldnt you just kick em if they attack or get feisty?

Speaking of which i found out that my next door neighbors been shooting raccoons and skunks with an air rifle.  Pretty sure my other neighbors have been cheering him on lol.  Ive seen him tote it around and its hilarious hearing him cursing in italian chasing pests off his property

Pretty cool. There was one caught on a trail cam in Warren County recently also. They have been making a come back in recent years. I hope to see.one in NJ one day. I've seen one in the wild once in Shenandoah VA.

Just go down to Carney's Point. Apparently, that place is teaming with wild cats. :)

Here kitty kitty!!!

I've seen many bobcats, and had a few close encounters with them out on the ranch, but I have never seen one in NJ.

They are very cool animals, although I wouldn't be thrilled with one walking INTO my house.
