1935 Brazilian Short Rifle All Matching

I searched over 2 years for a 1935 Brazilian Mauser Short Rifle and I finally found one about a month ago. There were supposedly 1,000 of the Short Rifle made. They fall in serials 1,000-1999 however there have been at least a half a dozen long rifles observed in that serial range so it's possible there were less than 1,000 made. These were also used by Brazil unlike the Long Rifles. Many were used hard. To have an all matching one in the condition it is in was well worth the wait.

 

The correct serials are as follows:

 

 

1.) Complete serial no. - Receiver, left side

2.) Complete serial no. - Rear end of barrel, left side (under handguard)

3.) Complete serial no. - Inside of stock

4.) Complete serial no. - Inside of handguard

5.) Complete serial no. - On top of bolt handle root

6.) Complete serial no. - Underside of rear sight leaf

7.) Complete serial no. - Forward magazine lip

8.) Complete serial no. - Bayonet cross guard, left side

9.) Complete serial no. - Factory test target, left upper edge

10.) Last two digits of serial no. - Front end of magazine floorplate (for photo see position 7)

11.) Last two digits of serial no. - On top of bolt sleeve

12.) Last two digits of serial no. - On top of safety wing

13.) Last two digits of serial no. - Lower rear face of cocking piece

14.) Last two digits of serial no. - On top of extractor claw

15.) Last two digits of serial no. - On firing pin

16.) Last two digits of serial no. - On top of bolt catch

17.) Last two digits of serial no. - Front end of trigger sear, left side

18.) Complete serial no. - On underside of butt stock (additional to the stamping inside the stock, however, this wasn't done always - two short M1935s with consecutive s/nos. were observed one with and one without the external stamping)

19.) Last two digits of serial no. - on trigger (under the stock), left side
