Off duty carry independence hall and surrounding attractions

Planning a trip to independence hall, liberty bell and the mint. Can I carry my off duty at these attractions? Don't want to get turned away with the family there.

If youre carrying on a permit, no.  If you're carrying under LEOSA, active duty or retired, no.  If you're a Federal LEO it should be no problem.

LEOSA doesn't let you carry in Federal buildings.  If you're on official business different rules apply.

From a buddy that is a municipal PA cop:

"You're good under LEOSA for Independence Hall and the Bell.

You just need to declare and a DCNR Ranger may come verify status.

Not sure on Mint. It was closed when we went last year. It's Federal so who knows."

Just curious.  I would have thought you'd have better resources than here to get the answer.  If that's the case then please let us know what it is.

As others have indicated you are good for those listed as good to go. Mint is a big no go.

I have carried at the liberty bell, just let them know at the check point and have your work is ready. No problems at all.

Rangers would not let me in. They do not allow corrections officers to carry in the park. Ridiculous!!
