I despise McConnell with the strength of thousand suns but, I got to give him credit for the way he has handled Trumps judicial nominees.

He invoked the Biden rule and rejected Obama's nominee for Scalia's vacancy.

He followed Reid's precedent that eliminated the filibuster for judicial nominees.

I never thought he had it in him. I only wish that he would eliminate the senatorial hold courtesy and accelerated the confirmation for all the vacancies. But you take what you can get.

If Trump gets all the vacancies filled out, it has the potential to change the US for the next  generations and it will, probably, have a bigger impact than any piece of legislation would. Also these district courts are the feeder farms for future supreme court appointees.

yup, as I have said elsewhere, the judicial appointments are really the only thing a vote for trump was about. The rest would be business as usual with the only change being the amount of arguing and complaining before someone gives Goldman Sachs a handy anyway.
