Another shot.  Chamber rough in.  I was so busy paying attention I really didn’t take any pics.  I’ll take some when I get home of it all before I screw it together.

Ill be hitting it with BBQ black for the “season” and breaking it down this fall for a real paint job.

If you paint that barrel ....You don't have a hair on your ass.

Keep it bright.  Are you the new kind of ninja?

It's for shootin' not showin'

Gonna build yourself a ghillie suit too?

Excellent should be good 'till a grand on steel.  20 MOA base?

You know even with 20 MOA base I ran out of elevation on a NF Benchrest. Gotta hold over about 2" at 800.

Yes.

20MOA Weaver base.  The bore was clocked so with the right bullet/powder it should reach out.  Unfortunately he had to trash his throating reamer so I will have to check how far out I can hang the bullets.  I have some rounds loaded up and may need to take them apart.  We'll see.

"Bore was clocked"? Explain not familiar with the term.

Check the throat, may consider a uni-throater if you need a little more.

No bore is straight. They all have a curve. Clocking means the barrel is set up so it shoots up. Not left/right or down.

@Bully That is a sweet stick..  MTU is so heavy and i like it lol What length did you go with??

Barrel is 25" +/-.  Started as a 27" and about an inch off both ends.

Not that anyone asked, but I just weighed the rifle and it came in at 15lbs.  Legal for FT/R.  Looks like I'm gonna be shooting this summer.

Thanks for the kind words.

77gr Federal Gold Medal Match on a windy day. Both are 5 shot groups off a bipod/sock bag. I think with some load development I could have a winner.

The gun shot flawlessly. The trigger has been shot before so no surprise there. The action cycled smoothly. I did not shoot from a mag. I shot off a single shot sled. Worked like a charm. With the massive pipe, recoil was essentially non-existent. All in all, I’m thrilled with the build and components.

Excellent.

Thanks.  I have test ammo loaded and ready to go.

I took the FGMM to the range to burn it up.  I bought it to take to Michigan with me and we never got the opportunity to test fire the rifle.  Seems to do the job.
