Those are Hell Hounds!!! Had Mastiffs years ago.  Now have Boxers. Big enough for me!

Wouldn’t want to pick up any poop bigger than mine. They don’t make poppy bags that big.

Seriously, nice Hell Hounds!

My brother has a South African Boerbel and Cane Corso.  I have two bullmastiffs.

What's wrong with Labs? Hellhounds in a junkyard I understand. If you're single in the middle of nowhere maybe there too. With a family in a residential area I think the Lab is a better choice. I prefer English Labs. Heads are more square and they are larger. 100lb+ Male Lab is plenty of deterrent, but won't eat the children.

Hulk in the middle is 185 pounds. The rest are his kids off various litters

185lbs? That is huge. I thought a 120lb English Style Lab was big. I will give you it is a cool pic.

"Eat the children", you had to remind me. I was looking to get a Level 3 Belgian Shepard, but my kids told me if I did, they wouldn't bring my grandkids around, because of the fear the dog would eat them.

So, I had to go with Plan B, another Lab. This is what I ended up with. Looks really mean and scary, doesn't he?

My family breed is the Doberman Pinscher.

While my schedule is too chaotic currently to allow me to have one (and provide the proper routine), I look forward to the day when I can, and i look back fondly on the dobie I had as a child - Mr. Spock.

With my little dude above, the next step is some specialized training, so hopefully I can get him to stand up in a defense posture, when needed, like this:

Told you Labs can look scary.

Pits have always been good family dogs. Its what Staffordshire terriers were breed for. They just need to be trained and socialized (as any dog should be) and have an owner that keeps up with training and disipline.
