A gift from a girl 29 years ago--now my wife of 25 years.  A way to a mans heart is buying him some type of colt wheel gun.  I recently acquired another exactly like this one.  Ugh now I'm not sure which one this is.

I have the non-bone collector performance center version.  I think they’re similar other than finish and the limited number of bone collector version.  I really love it but I had no idea it fire 410?  Is that just the bone collector editions?   I have to check because I’d load up on those.

While I know that the Governor can fire .45 Colt (from which the .454 Casull is derived, thus also the .460 S&W) and .410, it is chambered specifically to do so - I have no idea if there is a shoulder in the chamber or if it is bored straight through. Without seeing one, I'm sure there is a shoulder in the .460's chambers. Case length of a .460 is 1.80" / case length of a .410 shot shell is 2" minimum. That means that the mouth of the .410 shell is protruding into the throat of the .460 chamber. This is possible because of the slightly smaller diameter of the case (.470" vs. .478").  It would be safe to assume that this affects the pressure generated. SAAMI says that average pressure for a 2.5" .410 bore is 12,500 PSI. Given that the .460 generates 65,000 PSI, I doubt there is an issue here, other than getting the .410 cartridges to chamber. Go for it.

Adios,

Pizza Bob

That’s the price with the 9mm conversion cylinder which is nearly a grand alone.

Got one of Pat’s J Frames. [emoji3]
S&W 38-3 Airweight in .38spl. Definitely had some work done, but I don’t know the details. The gun has been coated and the trigger is smooooooth and crisp:

Nice! [emoji106] Looks similar to the finish on mine... NP3?

I like the shrouded hammer models, but opted for the 642-1.
