Foxhunter 4 Posted January 4, 2018 Did they made bump fire stocks illegal in NJ yet or is still going on?? Thanks
10X 3,278 Posted January 4, 2018 Yes, Illegal. And No, not yet illegal. All depends on whether you are referring to the first or the second bill to ban them.
Foxhunter 4 Posted January 4, 2018 OK as usual nothing simple in NJ. I just wonder if bump firing it self would be illegal or just the bump fire stock
JohnnyB 4,289 Posted January 4, 2018 The stock itself is a no go in the PRNJ as it moves back and forth so it is not fixed. Manually bump firing is legal but most ranges will not allow rapid fire of any kind so do check your ranges rules so you don't get into trouble practicing bump fire.

WHERE did you plan on accomplishing your practice with your illegal gun? Certainly NOT "CJ"...
ChrisJM981 924 Posted January 5, 2018 If you attempt to "practice" bumpfiring a rifle at a range, I'd expect to at a minimum spend some time in a police station, at most you'll need an attorney. Bumpstocks are illegal. They're going to be double secret illegal after the coronation of King Sanctuary Phil.
