Recent Hague's reviews?

Recommended Posts

I'm a new owner and I've been researching ranges around Camden County to western Burlington.  There's 2 standout things I've learned: there's a range coming to Cinnaminson in the spring (Legacy Indoor Range and armory), Hague's is currently offering free range time.  My Hague's research tells me they're expensive.  But I'm guessing that even at $30 box, with free range time, I can go just to shoot 1 or 2 boxes and fare well on expenses.  So has anyone been to Hague's recently?  What do they get for a box of 50 9mm or .38 special?.

The Hague's free time is posted on the their facebook page:

Update: I went to Hague's this afternoon with my son.  I paid $30 for box of 50 .38 special and $10 per box of 12 gauge slugs.  The range was cold but usable without a hat or gloves.  The targets at 5 yards were a little dark, past that they were reasonably lit. The staff was friendly.  Overall, we are happy with our visit. Even though ammo would have been cheaper else, range time would have cost $40, so we saved $30 to $35. This was a worthwhile visit.  With the free range time, I will definitely go back.

You’re also close to South Jersey Shooting Club - so much more you can do at an outdoor range over indoor - (Ok, aside from the weather advantage and night shooting).

Thanks.  There is also http://www.telcosportsmensclub.com/

The visit to Hague's was worth it.  When I get into rifle/shotgun, I'll look at the outdoor clubs.

I can't believe that place is still in business.

Why not join a normal outdoor range?

How far are you from Quinton sportsmans club?

Hague's is under new ownership.  And the visit I had today was good.  I'm just doing handguns for now and I wouldn't make much use of an outdoor club.  Quinton is over an hour away.  I would have to look at South Jersey Shooting Club or Telco sportsman's club instead of Quinton.

Recently under new ownership? Dan isn't running the place anymore?

I just bought my 4th gun from there last month. I like the guys there. Good prices if you know what you are looking for, unbeatable when it comes to SIGs. Never shot in the range though, I go to Bob’s. I’d like to join a range, but it’s hard to choose indoor vs outdoor because of our weather. Dan was there and running things when I was there last.

Does any one know what a membership is nowadays? When I was a member a few years ago it was $400. I heard it went up since then. I like the place a lot but just couldn't get there enough to make it worth while.

I stopped in there last week looking for a rifle, I live down the street and used to be a member until it got too expensive. The place was empty! There was a handful of used handguns and one rifle in the whole store. In the past they always had glass cases filled with new sigs and Glocks and a wall full of windhams. There was one younger guy manning the counter. I asked him where all the guns were and he said "we sold them" ...really? Where I work we replace inventory when we sell it. Then he told me they put everything away because they're remodeling and they only sell on Armslist now because it's easier that way. Hunh? So I asked him about their facebook page, which had disappeared about a week before. He told me they "took it down because it was boring" ...really? I'd be real worried about paying for a membership at this point. You might just lose your money and a place to shoot.

I hate to bring back old threads, but I didn't want to start a new one for this simple question...... Is this place still open? No website, Facebook, and when I called no one answered.....

Apparently?

When I was working on our new feature was looking it up. Scarce info on Facebook and I don’t recall got any contact back.

NJJoniguy lives in that area and probably knows their status.

The indoor range/gun shop facility formerly known as Eagle Eye and then Hague's is under NEW OWNERSHIP & MANAGEMENT.

It will be tentatively known as FREEDOM RANGE  and is now owned and run by the same good folks as Freedom Ammo in Mantua NJ.

Glenn Scheetz hopes to have his new facility open by the end of April-ish on a 7-days-a-week schedule.

More details as we get closer to the Grand Opening date
