I’m guessing  - Having only ever had a binary trigger installed makes it not a rifle and not a machine gun. Like the Shockwave/Tac-14, it falls under “firearm”.

Pretty sure it isn't smoothbore SSD confirmed it. I think it’s the trigger that’s the key.

Funny thing, their website says the Binary Trigger System Pack (the trigger kit) is not available for sale to civies in NJ.

So I wonder if they will send a gun that has the trigger system in it to NJ.

Well, I guess that dropping a binary trigger into an existing gun that is already classified as a “Rifle” and having a “firearm” that is distinctly not a rifle, by whatever definition they have discovered, with a binary trigger are two completely different things.

Only time will tell.

I think the muzzle device is rifled and the barrel is smooth. Obviously not a precision shooter but a blaster.

The firearm may be in the same boat federally but the trigger is the issue for NJ.

Agreed. I do not think this will be NJ legal - because of the trigger.

I just think the trigger is what gets around the Federal NFA laws.

There is another way to get a N.J. legal SBR sized gun.

My MSAR (AUG clone) is shorter overall than my issued Colt Commando.

Everyone said the Tac-14 and Shockwave would be illegal.  It's a short barreled shotgun, it's an assault weapon, it's scary.  Can't be legal.  EVERYONE said this
