LR-308 Handguard Profile

Recommended Posts

I'm not sure how the handguard could be classified as being high or low with out having any actual rails.

If there are rail sections you can add then the top rail will not align. One will be slightly higher then the other. And have obvious issues with sights and Scopes.

Either way it will work.

Well, I've found out that the main differences between high and low profile HG is the rail height and tube diameter.  The low profile will mate to the receiver the same as the high and the gas block will clear the tube, so it should not be an issue.  The tube I'm looking at has no Mlok or Keymod attach points so the only thing I'll have to work out is attaching a bipod stud.

The only consistent factor for DPMS high and low is the hight of the top rail. Everything else should be the same.
