Doug Koenig leads new Ruger Shooting team

Ruger is starting a factory shooting team and they managed to pull top competitor Doug Koenig away from S&W to lead it.

Looks like Ruger is getting serious about getting into the competition market. They were already pretty big with rimfire challenge, 22lr bullseye and SASS but this is good news for Ruger fans since they have been struggling to get their centerfire pistols to generate any excitement. Maybe we'll see some factory custom competition pistols come out of this like Sig is doing with the 320 x5. They already started with the GP100 Match Champion aimed squarely towards IDPA.

Can't wait to see what they do next.
