Driving to Michigan - any good place to stop for primers/powder?

Recommended Posts

I'll be headed to Michigan in a couple of weeks for a wedding so I'll be on the lookout for places to stop and pickup primers (running low) and maybe powder if the price is right.

The bulk of the trip will be on Rt. 80 through Pennsylvania and Ohio, so I'm hoping there's an easy on/easy off location similar to the Cabela's on Rt 78.

Any recommendations?

Thanks!

Not quite as easy on/off as Cabela's, but I highly recommend getting off in Clearfield (Exit 120 ) and go to Grice Gun Shop...

And while you are there, you need to stop into Bob's Army Navy also...

Not too far off the beaten path and well worth the time.

You can get back on I-80 at Exit 111.

I grew up in that town and remember when Grice's was in a converted Sinclair Gas Station. The owner of Bob's graduated HS with me and she is in charge of our HS reunions (50th coming up next year). Have a good trip.

Adios,

THAT could get me in a lot of trouble with the wife...

It's all in how you pitch it.   Call it the CMP Museum.  There is certainly a lot of history on display there.

And the gift shop is incredible!     :)

Thanks Bob!

I'll take a look on Google and see if there's anything in the area that would interest the wife and kids.

While growing up there, we never thought there was much interesting, but I guess that's a matter of perspective. This may help...

Regardless of what you find, Grice's and Bob's alone are worth the slight deviation from your intended path.
