Of course...as the cap said for  bolt and semi auto guns....

 

But you said bolt head. ....  do you mean an AR TYPE?

I doubt that anyone on this forum has the ability to headspace an AR.

Like others have said, if you are buying decent AR style parts you are usually good to go. I purchased a guage to check my AR's and they were all within spec and didn't have to do anything.

Easier with the barrel off the rifle, but can be done with it on.

I don't know how to change the headspacing. I assume it involves shimming the barrel extension.
