This happened a while back and I didn't put it out well, because.

Aluminum ladders suck.  If the feet were in good shape and the rubber in place it should not have moved.  Using cheap tools professionally to save money, dumb.  Lucky SOB.

Lucky....
I fell 20ft off a ladder onto concrete. I wasn't so lucky... Snapped my foot off and have screws holding it together. Also, nerve damage, permanent Neuropathy, etc.....

A pr of rubber mitts on top could have prevented it too but for me, no feet no go. I saw this exact scene happen on a job not my crew but GC's. Guy got banged up but ok however because the ladder had no feet just the squared  frame that had rounded off from wear it gouged the shit out of a new cedar deck floor causing a big buck repair.

That's exactly what should have happened.  I did it myself several times after it was all framed.
