Finally a good local deal

Recommended Posts

I usually never find anything good locally anymore. I was lucky enough to purchase  this Colt 1911a1 about a month ago. The pistol slide number doesn’t match the frame number unfortunately. This pistol was part of an estate liquidation. I ended up getting the pistol for around $350 with taxes and fees.

A lot cheaper than CMP will be asking. Also in better condition than what CMP pistols will be. Nice find. Do tell where this estate sale was and how you found it.

It was an estate that was sold off by a NJ FFL who I purchased a K98 from about a year ago. The 1911  was really the only good piece in the group.

I have a bunch of K98s, What exactly are you looking for?
I'm looking to get rid of my all matching and original BNZ45 Kriegsmodell and instead picking up an early war all matching and original K98k. Any will do, but I lean towards Sauer and Styer.

A shooter. RC is fine, just good operationally, if there are markings that would be cool too.

I've tried rebuilding two of them from barreled receivers I stumbled upon in trades, but I'd need a smith to get them operational (namely matching the bolts, and checking them over). Not that I'd shoot it a lot, but it would be nice to have it as part of my collection.

I have a Russian and Yugo capture in stock if you want to take ride north.
