sgtdave4321 36 Posted April 18, 2018 Check out EGW also if you get a chance. They make a great muzzle brake in 9mm and in different threads as well.

diamondd817 823 Posted April 18, 2018 Personally, I would not break my muzzle, but instead, I would get a muzzle BRAKE for it.

Matroskin 29 Posted March 8, 2023 Folks, reviving an old thread, how about this one: a gunsmith told me today it's flash hider. Your vote?
Scorpio64 5,120 Posted March 8, 2023 Looks more like a compensator to me. Only ported up top, that's mostly to control muzzle rise.
YankeeSC 1,204 Posted March 8, 2023 https://www.glockstore.com/FM-9-Compensator It's all about how the product is marketed by the manufacturer. Since this specific one says nothing about it being a "flash suppressor", I would feel safe about it. Don't get distracted by something called "the pinky test". It's meaningless. It's likely a shitty comp, but a comp. Advertised as a comp, and uses vertical jetting of gasses when the bullet obturates the bore. IT also has no real features that would reduce muzzle flash. That doesn't mean some schmuck with a badge won't go by the pinky test. Probably a bigger issue is if that is for a rifle, make sure it is steel, because pin and weld and silver solder will potentially be problematic with aluminum.
