Does a bolt action .308 like this exist?

Recommended Posts

Does a bolt action (or otherwise not semi-auto) rifle exist that is:

- .308 / 7.62x51 caliber

- magazine fed

- has magazines available in “standard” (20-30+ rounds) capacities (doesn’t have to come with one from the manufacturer, just that you can get them)

- Doesn’t share these magazines with any semi-auto rifle

?

Are you sure? IIRC they use Accurate mags and I dont see those in 20. Does someone else make a compatible mag?

yeah, there's a few aftermarket mags available. Promag makes a 20.

EDIT:  It looks like AICS mags work on the Scout too.

The Browning BLR comes in .308, .223, .243...  Cool concept.  Mag fed lever gun.

Remington makes a pump rifle based off the shotgun line as well.  Same calibers plus a few others.

Also, Marlin XLR.  Tube fed though, but new poly tip bullet designs make tube fed safe.  You'd have more ammo options in the BLR but still,  plenty of good options in the XLR.

I have owned the Ruger GSR since they first came out.  It has a Leupold Scout sight on it that works very well.  I have shot hogs with it.  Love the rifle, it is very well made and fun to shoot.

I used to have a BLR in .308 and sold it.  It wasn't as accurate as the GSR and did not fit me well.
