buckshot45 2 Posted July 6, 2018 I'm looking into getting a Sig MPX for USPSA. I want to get the rifle variant, but the rifle variant has a "muzzle brake" I know that it's a muzzle brake but, does NJ regard it as a muzzle brake, or a scary flash suppressor? Because an overzealus cop might think its a flash suppressor and arrest me. I'm young and really don't want to spend the next half of my life in jail because the Tyrants in NJ think that a muzzle brake is a flash suppressor. Has anyone had any experiences of buying an MPX in NJ?
High Exposure 5,661 Posted July 6, 2018 Jeebus Christmas. Seriously? I want to know how many firearms owners have been arrested in N.J. by overzealous cops that didn’t know a brake from a comp from a flash hider. Get me a number, I’ll wait. If it’s described/marketed as a brake by the manufacturer, it’s a brake. MPX Carbine should be NJ Legal. Just pin the stock open, get the 16” barrel (14.5” and pinned brake works) and get 10 round mags and you are good to go.
