Counting the number of registered voters (5,759,295 as of 30 Nov. 2017) that would require almost 1.44 million signatures. Sorry as much as I would like to spread around some Magic Pixie Dust and make it happen; it won't. Better to try and fail, then never try.

True. But a big response here may be motivation for kicking off an actual recall drive. Plus, signing it just FEELS so good.
JackDaWack 2,894 Posted July 20, 2018 If people weren't so divisive over Trump. A recall could happen. There are more registered democrats than republicans, but there is more registered independents than either alone. Murphy is terrible for NJ and everyone in the middle to right knows it.

Or is this just a feel-good measure for us to think something is being done? There is an actual, legal, paper recall drive that's getting organized. There was an article in the APP about it awhile ago: https://www.app.com/story/news/politics/new-jersey/2019/01/14/recall-phil-murphy-petition/2568699002/ It's being organized by three woman on Facebook, they're looking for volunteers to get signatures and for notaries. The FB page for one of the woman organizing this is here https://www.facebook.com/talkingterry This has more discussion and lists some events: https://www.facebook.com/events/369048720555804/?active_tab=discussion A march on Trenton is being organized for 3/26 here: https://www.wethepeopleofnj.com I can't argue it's not a long shot, but with all the bitchin we all do here about comrade Murphy, and since this seems like a legitimate effort these people are making, anyone who can give offer some support really should. IMHO.
10X 3,278 Posted February 12, 2019 Murphy's approval ratings (considering both positive and negative ratings) after one year in office are lower than Christie's and Corzine's were at the same point. DirtyDigz 1,793 Posted March 12, 2020 Recall effort has officially failed. Jon K 32 Posted April 23, 2020 Sadly a poll just came out saying Murphy has 70% approval. If that doesn't tell you how stupid the people really are here in New Germany, nothing will. The state is done, bankrupt, was BEFORE covid-19, and I hope the morons in Washington aren't stupid enough to bail out these failed states. 40% - 50% increase in real estate taxes, and the same increase in state taxes, plus huge sales taxes, might wake the people up here, but I doubt it.
