Please try and bring everything you can in terms of a gun, ammo, and clays.

A rough check list of what to bring:
- Gun(s)
- Ammo (birdshot #7.5, 8)
- Clays (Walmart's in Clinton, Flemington, and Phillipsburg generally stock them)
- Thrower if you have one
- Eyes and ears
- Shell pouch
- Beverages/snacks
- Dress appropriately for the weather (Sunblock!)
- Chair

If you can't bring some things, we will have plenty of stuff there. If you've never shot a shotgun before, I and others will try working with you to be able to dust a clay by the end of the day!

Gun rules to remember:

Always treat a gun as if it was loaded
Keep your finger off the trigger until you're ready to shoot
Never point the muzzle at anything you're not willing to destroy
Always be aware of your target/line of fire
For this range, keep all guns unloaded until you're on the firing line

Be smart, be safe, and we will have a fun-filled day!

Likely in +1, pending my friend's work schedule.
I have a license too, but only have a hand thrower.  Should lend that to the resident hand thrower expert, Ms. 12 Gauge [emoji4]

My arm was KILLING ME for a few days after throwing last time! 🤣

Confirmed...and OF COURSE the Fudd has a hunting license!

@W2MC Are you bringing that .410 per chance... and may I borrow it again for a few swings? If so, I'll pop by for a little while.  And I'll bring .410 shells... just let me know what size pellet you recommend. (Anything I don't use up will go home with you. :)). Thx!

#8's, and yes, I can bring it again.  I have shells as well...sometimes .410's can be tough to come-by.

OK, then I'm in!

I'll make a good effort to find the .410 in #8 - hitting at least a few local places. If I can't locate them, I'm going to insist on giving you some cash because this will be the 2nd time I'm borrowing your gun and I simply won't feel comfortable burning through your supplies... especially since those shells are a little pricey.

@Krdshrk - I'll bring a couple boxes of clays, too.

Not sure yet.  Tying up loose ends for the Clays Tourney on Wednesday.  Picked-up the goody bags & a silver membership at Gun For Hire earlier today, as well as the souvenir t-shirts :)   Hustle-hustle!

    • I very seriously doubt this has anything to do with terrorism.    1) Harbor pilots are VERY seriously vetted, and highly trained. Not to mention extremely well paid. My experience knowing a few of them, and knowing how they are recruited and screened tells me that there is a slim to highly unlikely chance that a harbor pilot would have participated in anything like that.    2) Maintenance of foreign flag ships is well known to be dubious. Especially these days. These were NOT US flag, Jones act sailors. It was (to my understanding) a largely Indian crew on that ship, with a Ukrainian Captain. Indian crews are not exactly known for being stellar.    3) The bunkers (fuel) these ships use is ‘Bunker C’, which is a heavy, dirty fuel oil that can, and usually is, pretty contaminated. This stuff ain’t your car grade gasoline or diesel fuel. It’s nasty.   It requires nearly constant filter changes and maintenance to the engine/generators. The ship took on fuel prior to departing port, which would stir up all kinds of shit in the fuel tanks, which would contribute to particulates in the fuel lines/filters.    4) I’d say the posting of the chief engineer for Maserek above was pretty spot on as far as chain of events.    This was a shitty accident, with horrible timing and outcome. Not a terror attack.
    • I saw Lara's interview on Bannon's War Room, and that gave me pause for thought. Her conjecture depends primarily on the veracity of her sources. Regardless, if it's not applicable in any way to this ship disaster, the methods described seem valid to me. And worthy of consideration for the future. As I said before, IMO something is coming.
