KFC or Popeyes

I'll pass on both. I'd rather be hungry than feel sick with a stomach full of grease. When I happen to have a craving for fried chicken, Publix is actually quite good, and they're everywhere in SC.

There is one next to my mom's house, cool store.

It's a spice packet - not a sauce... I put that shit on everything... and I tend to ask for extra cuz it's awesome on popcorn too.

Nice!  I'll definitely check it out.  If you're looking for a good spice blend,  Everglades Seasoning.  Amazing!

Not to hijack the thread, but steaks had Everglades Cactus Dust and the mash potatoes was Everglades Heat in a maple bacon bourbon gravy.  I have no ties to the company that I’m plugging it for any purpose other than it’s amzaing!

Hahaha!!  Go figure, a bubble head and their fancy surf and turf type meals.  Did you guys have champagne with every meal?  It's like the Air Force under water.

We had NAVY champagne....coffee!!

Funny you should mention ‘surf and turf’ meals we had on the boat. We did have prime rib and lobster on a semi-regular basis. Sounds awesome, right??

Yeah, I know...there goes the bubblehead whining about eating prime rib and lobster while being deployed.

The cases of ‘meat’ we schlupped aboard the boat we all marked “for for human consumption”. Prisioner grade meat. It was pretty rough.

We have another submariner here (his screen name escapes me, but he is currently serving on my old boat, USS Topeka), I’m pretty sure he’ll verify this!!

Now, the ‘Chair Force’ guys, (love you long time, no shit, Air Force, lol), THEY had it good!! They didn’t have to hot rack in the torpedo room!

Better yet @BoatGuy, we’ll have to guilt @Downtownv into cooking up a mess of my Mommas chicken and bringing it to one of the shotgun shoots!

About that recipe...

Talking about Navy chow, I just pictured Buckman from Down Periscope.  My last deployment was Kuwait and Iraq, Army DFAC food wasn’t bad.  Breakfast was pretty good.

Boats, that recipe is further back in this thread.

Try it, even your Neanderthal Boatswains Mate ass will like it!

Maybe we need to post pictures, cause I know you can’t read!

(love ya, Boats!!) lol

    • In 50 years of living in NJ I've never experienced any attempt to inspect the interior of the home, and only one definite inspection of the exterior for an announced reassessment of all properties and that was a drive by. About 9 years of that was living in an apartment, but still, uncommon. Every place I lived had either a finished attic, basement, or both. But they were also included in the habitable square footage on the taxes when we got there.
    • 27.00 and change in tolls to drive down the shore from Rutherford,  47.00 in tolls to go out to Long island to visit dying relatives. Now I read they are going to raise the fees in the DMV. Murphy lied just to get elected when he said that seniors will get a significant tax break with his StayNJ" program to stop us from leaving.   Keep voting for democrats...this is what you get.  Tax and spend is all they know.  Never cut anything.  This state sucks.
