voyager9 3,417 Posted August 18, 2018 Had a few minutes while kids were either napping or playing legos so I decided to pull out the Remington 760 and give it a quick once-over. Been sitting in the safe unused for a long time. I has forgotten what a PITA it is to disassemble, especially compared with the AR. Two-piece carrier with two uncaptured pins 180-degrees apart. FU. Free “floating” ejection port cover. FU. At least it’s cleaned up a bit. It was my late father’s from the 60’s.
Zeke 5,504 Posted August 18, 2018 Maybe shoot it more frequently, then you’ll be accustomed to cleaning it... jus throwen that out there

voyager9 3,417 Posted August 18, 2018 I was comparing the disassembly of the 760 with the AR. Really made me appreciate how easy it is to take down and clean the AR.
BillC. 26 Posted August 20, 2018 first time I put my 760 back together it took about three hours. 5 minutes to take apart. yup PIA dust cover. it gets easier if you do it a couple of times.

It is like my Ruger MKI, never disassembled. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
