Knowledge is good, except in left wing NJ

Recommended Posts

It is amazing how New Jersey denies not only the 2nd amendment but our rights to know what our government is doing.  Just saw this listing that came out in Florida that shows Carry permits issued by county as of July 31st.  Sure would be nice the government in NJ would do the same.

Why would the leftists be opposed to releasing this? We should all write in and say hey, Florida just published this report and we want the same transparency for NJ.

We should start writing legislators demanding the info.

They will lift their leg like a big dog on a fire hydrant!

Guns/NJ/Transparency?

STOP, your making my stomach hurt with laughter!

The COPS see gun owners as  a threat to their macho superiority.

Almost 2 million with @10% out of state.

Better question, how many non res are for nj? Lol 1/2?

Probably half or better. I have my Florida non res. permit so at the very least I can still carry in Delaware with it!

Now that I'm no longer a resident of the great state of Pennsylvania, I will be getting a florida permit...for a Florida trip or two.

Sadly, it is my theory that New Jersey government views two categories of people with guns:  Law enforcement and bad guys.  :(

This is from 2017 and its not a government data source but it's something.

https://www.gunstocarry.com/concealed-carry-statistics/

Based on the numbers, I'm assuming it does not include people in one state who have a non-resident CCW issued from other states.

You need to exclude permits required for employment (armed security guards) and retired LEO.  They can give you numbers but they don't really mean anything unless you have some clarification.

NJ does issue permits.  I believe they gave even disclosed the number.  But if I recall there was no breakdown of the information or categorization.  Just NJ has issued 'x" permits since they began issuing concealed carry permits.

    • In 50 years of living in NJ I've never experienced any attempt to inspect the interior of the home, and only one definite inspection of the exterior for an announced reassessment of all properties and that was a drive by. About 9 years of that was living in an apartment, but still, uncommon. Every place I lived had either a finished attic, basement, or both. But they were also included in the habitable square footage on the taxes when we got there.
    • 27.00 and change in tolls to drive down the shore from Rutherford,  47.00 in tolls to go out to Long island to visit dying relatives. Now I read they are going to raise the fees in the DMV. Murphy lied just to get elected when he said that seniors will get a significant tax break with his StayNJ" program to stop us from leaving.   Keep voting for democrats...this is what you get.  Tax and spend is all they know.  Never cut anything.  This state sucks.
    • I get the added benefit that since I have a TSP rather than a true 401(k) they tax my retirement too. Yaaaay!
